It started on the field.
Dr. Taylor grew up in Southern California chasing every sport he could — football, baseball, basketball, sand volleyball, surfing, jumping bikes. He earned All-League honors as a high school linebacker and team captain, which carried him to Division I football at Columbia University, where he captained the team and earned All-Ivy League recognition his sophomore and junior years.
Then a triad injury his senior year — a torn MCL, ACL, and medial meniscus — ended his football career. It was the most serious setback, but not the last. Broken bones, more ligament tears, shoulder labral tears, and herniated discs followed over the years. He's not guessing at what injury feels like. He's lived it.
Having been there himself, he understands the pain of injury, the frustration of setbacks, and the drive to come back stronger.
